User Acceptance Testing
What is User Acceptance Testing, and what approach do adaptiVLE take?
User Acceptance Testing is the final step in the change management process where a product is tested with a group of individuals that are representative of the audience that will use the new system.
The feedback that the selected group provides should not focus on cosmetic issues. Rather, comments should focus on whether or not the product is fully functional and meets the original project specification/brief.
User Acceptance Testing typically involves:
- Step 1: Develop a list of criteria and create a list of steps that the user acceptance testing will follow - Luckily, we have a template document for this.
- Step 2: Run the test and keep a detailed record of the results using the template. Based on this feedback, adaptiVLE will make any corrections or adjustments to the product or process as long as it is not out-of-scope and as long as it fits the original brief.
- Step 3: After the initial or subsequent tests, have the team sign-off on the finalised product before officially launching it to the intended audience.
